Itinerary

Board an overnight train from Delhi to Haridwar (Detail is below). It departs from Delhi by 23:45 pm and arrives early morning by 04:00 AM,

H. Nizamuddin (Departs at 23:45) -> Haridwar Jn. (Arrive 03:53)

DAY 1

Our guide will meet you at Haridwar Railway Station, from here approx 8hrs road journey to Snow View Hotel. We will have Breakfast & Lunch en-route also we look for some birds including Crested Kingfisher, Wallcreeper & Owl Afternoon Birding and overnight in Snow View Hotel.

Great Barbet, Black-throated, Black-lored, and Green-backed Tits, Brown-fronted woodpeckers, Grey-treepie, Yellow-billed Blue Magpie, Bulbuls, Thrushes, Treecreeper, Striated, White-throated, Rufous-chinned and White-throated Laughingthrushes, many more.

DAY 2

Wake up early morning drive to Chopta and will walk to Tunganath temple, it’s a moderate trek which is very productive one can see Himalayan Monals, Bunting, Accenture, Tits, Laughingthrushes, Winter Wren, Warblers, Golden and Orange Flanked Bush robin, Vulture, and Snow Partridge back for lunch afternoon will be trying for Woodpeckers, Yuhina, etc.

DAY 3

Start early for Pheasant is a productive time after will be trying for forest birds in and around Chopta.

After launch walk to Mukku village overnight in Snow View Hotel

DAY 4

Drive early as usual try again best shot of Pheasant than continues to Mandal.

En-route to Mandal there is higher chances to get Maroon oriole, Himalayan shrike-babbler, Blue-capped Redstart, long-billed Thrush, White-collared Blackbird, Great Barbet, Himalayan Woodpecker.

Overnight in Guru Kripa Hotel

DAY 5

Start early drive to Research center which real productive. Here we can see finches, Sunbirds, Red-fronted Serin, Scaly-bellied woodpecker, Wren-babbler.

After breakfast will go to stream spend till launch. This place is good for Spotted and Little Forktail, Brown Dipper, Water Redstarts, Yellow-bellied fantail, Tesia, Small Niltava.

After lunch a visit to Bhotia gaon here we will spend rest of the day. Here we can see the White-browed Piculetm finches, Sunbirds, Russet Sparrow, Golden Bush Robin, Slaty-headed Parakeet, Long-tailed Minivet, Warbler.

Overnight in Mandal.

DAY 6

Today is our last day. We leave the hotel as per our flight or train departer timing. If time permits will repeat the Bhotia gaon and few spots ahead.

Will have breakfast & Lunch en route.

Our trips end at Haridwar Junction or Jolly Grant Dehradun Airport.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation before 45 days of the event, 25% refund will be provided.
Cancellation within 30 days of the event, No refund will be provided.

GEAR GUIDE AND GETTING READY FOR THE EXPEDITION.

Carry Telephotos lenses for birds (at least 300mm).
This place is cold, so carry heavy woolen clothes for chilly mornings and evenings.
Please do carry a sturdy tripod, for good sharp pictures in low light.
Binoculars, Torch is a must.
A basic first aid kit along with your regular medicines as may be advised (if any)
Backup memory cards, batteries and Laptop.
Please ensure to carry spare batteries and Memory cards
Motion sickness is quite common while traveling on mountain roads, do carry medicines for the same.

Please be advised weather in the high Himalayas is highly unpredictable, Weather is mostly clear this time of the year, but still cannot be guaranteed.
