Itinerary

Board a overnight train from Delhi to Kathgodam (Detail is below). It depart from Delhi by 22:30 pm and arrives early morning by 05:00 AM, from here only 25 km drive to Sattal, Birders den resort.

DAY 1

After Morning Tea / Coffee, stay in bird hide, which is very much productive, here you can photograph 25 -35 species of birds which comes regularly comes like and few are occasionally visitor.

Great and Blue-throated Barbet , Kalij Pheasant, Black Francolin, Red-billed Lieothrix, Blue-winged Minla, Nuthatch, Black-lored, Green-backed and Great Tits, Greater and Lesser Yellownape, Grey-headed and Brown-fronted woodpeckers, Grey-treepie, Red-billed Blue Magpie, Bulbuls, Flycatchers, Thrushes, Treecreeper, Striated, White-throated, Rufous-chinned and White-throated Laughingthrushes, many more.

It’s a great opportunity to improve your photography skills.

After lunch one can visit to Chanfi river for Crested Kingfisher, water Redstart , Brown Deeper etc.

DAY 2

Wake up early morning drive to Shyamkhet and Mahesh Khan forest ,the area is good to see Rosefinch, Sunbird, Rufous-bellied and Himalayan woodpeckers, Long-tailed Minivet, Warblers Golden-Bush Robin.

After lunch kainchi stream good to see forktail , Bush Robin overnight Birdersden Resort

DAY 3

Starting as usual morning we will be walking on saattal road here one can see minivet bulbuls flycatchers thrushes yuhina bunting Accenture flower pecker,and visit to saattal studios , after lunch go to ashram hide only here can see rufous throated partridge, green Maggie, White crested laughing thrush, overnight Birdersden Resort

DAY 4

Drive early morning to Nainital trying for some laughingthrushes, Rosefinch, White-tailed Nuthatch, Accenture, Bunting, Yuhina, Sunbirds Stopping en-rout arrive Pangot lunch, afternoon drive to Bagad and Timlapani or Ghughu Khan or Sigdi, Vinayak forest overnight at the Kafal House Lodge.

DAY 5

Wake up early morning drive to Vinayak Pheasant point after trying this we will be trying for some forest birds after lunch visit to Jyolikot forest slowly drive to Kathgodam train station evening

Cancellation before 45 days of the event, 25% refund will be provided.
Cancellation within 30 days of the event, No refund will be provided.

GEAR GUIDE AND GETTING READY FOR THE EXPEDITION.

Carry Telephotos lenses for birds (at least 300mm).
This place is cold, so carry heavy woolen clothes for chilly mornings and evenings.
Please do carry a sturdy tripod, for good sharp pictures in low light.
Binoculars, Torch is a must.
A basic first aid kit along with your regular medicines as may be advised (if any)
Backup memory cards, batteries and Laptop.
Please ensure to carry spare batteries and Memory cards
Motion sickness is quite common while traveling on mountain roads, do carry medicines for the same.

Please be advised weather in the high Himalayas is highly unpredictable, Weather is mostly clear this time of the year, but still cannot be guaranteed.
